Real value for building owners and developers

We offer game-changing pneumatic waste collection system solutions that create added value for building owners and developers around the world.

Added value

Management approach
As the global urban population continues to grow, we are faced by increasing liveability challenges in our cities around the world.

Envac’s automated waste collection systems can be a significant part of the solution that adds value by promoting quality of life for residents by providing more efficient and cleaner waste collection solutions.

How we do it

Reduced operational costs
Envac systems create significant added value for building owners and developers through lower operational costs due to the reduced use of electricity and vehicle fuel costs. This added value through lower operational costs is generated throughout the lifespan of a system, which can amount to significant financial savings over several decades.

Freeing up valuable urban space
An Envac automated waste collection system requires less space – both within and outside of the terminal for waste handling. This leads to freed up space that a building owner or developer can use for additional development space or other value-added uses.

The saved space outside can be used to create more green areas, value-adding businesses or services that improve the quality of life for the residents. Read more in the Wembley Park Case Story.

In Eskilstuna, Sweden, an optical sorting system has been established to allow users to deposit seven different fractions in an Envac system by their front door. This includes the fractions food, textile, plastics, paperboard, newspaper, metal and residual waste.

Enhanced urban liveability
As Envac systems do not require heavy traffic to enter residential areas to collect waste, they reduce the traffic and noise related to waste collection. Furthermore, Envac systems ensure waste handling that is clean and odour free with a reduced risk of vermin in the area. It also enhances the opportunities for green areas, and value-adding businesses and services – all to contribute to a higher quality of life. Read more in the Bergen Case Story.

Increased property value
Envac systems create added value in a neighbourhood by freeing up more space for green spaces or additional amenities, and by promoting safer and more liveable urban environments. This gives property owners opportunities to increase the property value of their developments.

Promoting the circular economy
Our system is straight forward with one single collection point for household waste. It is easy to use, pedagogical and removes the inconvenience of traditional sorting. This motivates users to recycle more. Read more in the Wembley Park Case Story and Bella kvarter Case Story.

Envac’s ReFlow digital solution, which is currently under development, encourages users to optimise their waste and recycling. ReFlow also provides communities with opportunities to share and make better use of resources to promote the circular economy. Read more about ReFlow in the Safe & User friendly systems topic.

This will give Envac the opportunity to provide end users with direct feedback on their waste sorting performance and offer added value services that promote the circular economy.

Our sorting solution uses optical sorting through different coloured waste bags. The user sorts their household waste into different coloured bags for each fraction and then deposits them in the same bin. When the bags have been collected, they are sorted based on colour at the sorting facility. This enhances the recycling rate and makes it easy for the user to manage different fractions.

Future ambitions

Around 99.9% of the world’s cities currently use conventional waste collection systems. There is huge potential to create value for more cities around the world through automated vacuum waste collection systems.

We need to raise awareness of the benefits that Envac systems bring to cities and their residents. Imagine a city without open waste containers, overflowing waste bins, or traffic congestion and emissions. This isn’t the future, we’ve been doing this since 1961!

Our target to promote added value:

  • Raise customer awareness of the added value benefits of Envac products and solutions

Planned action to further promote added value
